Donald A. Gregory, 59, of Hazleton passed away at his home Monday afternoon.

Born in Hazleton on Sept. 21, 1955, he was a son of Jane (Valentine) Gregory, with whom he resided, and the late Howard F. Gregory, who died in 1979.

A 1973 graduate of Hazleton High School, he had been employed for many years by Senape’s Bakery.

Active in Freemasonry, Donald was a member and past master of Hazle Azalea Fellowship Lodge 327, having served as master in both 1985 and 1992.

Donald was also a member of the Blanchard Ranch Hunting Club for more than 40 years; a member and secretary of the 3 Man Classic Bowling League; and the Pulaski Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Barbara Pryor and her husband, Gary, Middlefield, Ohio; and Carol Hunt and her husband, Harry, Bellefonte; a brother, Fred Gregory and his wife, Diana, Newport; and six nieces and nephews.

No viewing is scheduled. However, Donald’s family will receive friends at the Hazle Chapel of Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home, 426 W. Broad St., Hazleton, on June 27 from 2 to 3 p.m. The visitation will conclude with a Masonic service that will commence at 3 p.m. All Master Masons are encouraged to be present and participate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions directed to either Hazle Azalea Fellowship Lodge 327, 141 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton, PA 18201, or to the American Cancer Society, 101 W. Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931, are suggested by the family.
