                Clark Stephen Gensel

Clark Stephen Gensel, 68, of Hazle Twp., passed away Monday.

Born in Kingston on Sept. 17, 1955, he was the son of the late Ronald M. and Gladys (Sims) Gensel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne (Harris) Gensel; brother, Richard Gensel; dog, Precious; and his favorite granddog, Kapono, the Standard Poodle from Hawaii.

Clark enjoyed fishing, browsing yard sales and frequenting the local diners. He liked old cars and was a NASCAR and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also fell in love with the state of Hawaii after several visits to his daughter and granddaughters on Oahu and the Big Island. He loved his Aloha shirts and could be seen wearing them year-round here in Pennsylvania.

Clark leaves behind his daughter, Tara Cortese; granddaughters, Trinity and Colby; son, Adam Gensel; grandson, Hunter; daughter, Tami Gensel; and grandchildren, Hailey and Andrew.

He also leaves behind his longtime partner, Dorothy Wils and her daughter, Meggin Caputo; grandchildren, Samara and Kayne; great-grandson, Lorenzo; daughter, Fran Finckenauer; grandchildren, Dylan, Travis, Mateo and Liliana; daughter, Jennifer Lester; and grandchildren, Kayla and Jason.

Clark is also survived by his brother, Ronnie and wife, Diane (Hall) Gensel; and many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He will also be greatly missed by his little dog, Abby, who was always right by his side.

In abiding by Clark's wishes, there will be no service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph B. Conahan Funeral Home, 532 N. Vine St, Hazleton.

As they say in Hawaii, "A Hui Hou." … Until we meet again.

So very sorry to have read another friend had passed away! My condolences to his brother Ronnie and family.
