Theresa "Tina" Rogers

September 23, 1955 - April 15, 2024

Theresa “Tina” Rogers, 68, of Newtown, PA died suddenly on April 15, 2024 at her home.  Born in Hazleton, PA Tina was a Newtown resident for over 40 years.

Tina graduated from Hazleton High School, Class of 1973 and from the Hazleton Campus of Penn State University in 1975.  She started her career in retail fashion management with Pomeroy’s department store, progressing from a store manager to Assistant Buyer, and promoted to the Buyer in Women’s fashion apparel.  Tina continued her career as a sales manager for a private women’s apparel company in New York City for many years.

Tina was fond of all animals, especially her numerous pet horses, dogs, cats and occasional rescue animals.  She is a parishioner of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown where she taught religious education for a number of years.  Tina loved attending Nicole’s activities at St. Andrew School, Council Rock and Penn State Blue Band. Spending time with family and friends at their home in Bethany Beach, Delaware was always filled with laughter and beach times together.

Tina is the daughter of the late John and Helen Blasko Novotnak and the devoted wife of 44 years to Richard “Rick” Rogers and the loving mother of Nicole and her husband Alex King.  She is also the sister of Joseph (Mary) Novotnak, Marion Klemow, John (Judy) Novatnak and the late Martha Ruggiero and David Novotnak and 16 nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to Tina’s Life Celebration on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 10 to11:30 at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown and to her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon.  Interment will be private.  Memorial contributions in Tina’s name may be made the Bucks Co. S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
