Charles J. Ecker

1956 - 2025

Charles J. Ecker, of Hazleton, died Thursday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.

Born in Hazleton, PA January 23, 1956, he was the son of the late Joseph D. and Theresa (Forke) Ecker and was an active member of Holy Rosary Church.

Charles was a graduate of Hazleton High School Class of 1973 and celebrated 37 years of service in the automotive industry dedicated to customer service. He was recently employed by Lehighton Ford, Lehighton, PA as used car manager.

His many interests included cooking, fishing, and playing pinochle, he was also an avid Green Bay Packer and New York Yankee fan. Mostly though he loved spending time with family, friends and loved ones.

Surviving is his wife the former Nancy Gemetro, daughter, Stacie Ferencz and her husband Bryan, son, Christopher, sister, Joanie Devens, brothers, Lewis and Joseph Ecker, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, followed by interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, McAdoo.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday evening at Fierro Funeral Service, Inc. from 5 - 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Rosary Church, or the Hazleton Animal Shelter would be appreciated by the family.
