Jeanmarie Modresky Obituary
Jeanmarie "Jeanie" Greco Modresky, 68, of Maryland, passed away peacefully in her sleep while visiting family in Conyngham on Sunday.
She was born in Hazleton to Frank S. Greco and Mildred "Carmella" Fornataro Greco, and lived on Harrison Street. She did this all while raising her daughter, whom she loved more than anything in this world until 2019 when she became "Nonna." She loved animals, nice jewelry and the Baltimore Ravens, who went on to beat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, 56-19.
Jeanie is survived by her daughter, Maria Carmella Modresky; son-in-law, Andrew Whitney; grandson, Harrison Whitney; brother, Vito Greco; sister-in-law, Thelma "Pudgie" Greco; and nieces and nephews, their spouses and children, who she spoiled with her generosity.
Jeanie is returning home to her mother and father; brother, Frank R. Greco; sister-in-law, Donna Gaudiano Greco; and best friend, Robin Cianos.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass Saturday in the church. Relatives and friends are welcome to a luncheon at Brass Buckle in Conyngham following services.
